APPROACH RELEASES PRO AND
PRO-G WIRING SYSTEMS FOR IFR CONFIGURED AIRCRAFT INSTRUMENT PANELS
APPROACH MODERNIZES THE OUTDATED, HAND-WIRED
CLUTTER BEHIND INSTRUMENT PANELS WITH A PLUG-AND-PLAY SOLUTION MAKING
AVIONIC INSTALLS AND UPGRADES FAST, COST-EFFECTIVE AND SAFE.
OREM, Utah, July 16, 2021 - Approach Systems Corporation
(www.approach-systems.com),
a manufacturer of aviation electronic products, today announces availability
of the Approach Pro and Pro-G Wiring Systems for IFR configured aircraft
instrument panels. Approach Systems now has avionic wiring systems for
basic, VFR, and IFR aircraft instrument panels available for immediate
shipment. The Pro Wiring System is for IFR configured aircrafts and
designed for Garmin, Apollo, or Bendix/King panel mounted devices. The
Pro-G Wiring System is similar to the Pro, but is Garmin-centric providing
customers a more cost-effective solution.
Approach's wiring systems interconnect avionic components with a central
hub and "ready-built" Milspec Tefzel cables available for
most avionics in the marketplace. Retrofitting Approach wiring systems
into an aircraft is simple: select the Approach wiring system for your
panel configuration (basic, VFR, or IFR), choose the "ready-built"
cables for your avionics, install the hub, plug in the cables (between
the hub and avionics) and you're done. Approach eliminates the time
consuming and error-prone hand wiring methods used today.
Approach Pro Wiring System: Cost is $499 for the Approach Pro Hub and
Approach "ready-built" cables cost between $49-$199. The Pro
Wiring System is for IFR instrument panels supporting Garmin, Apollo,
or Bendix/King panel mounted devices. The Pro Wiring System is compatible
with most popular NAV/GPS/COM's, modern audio panels, intercoms, moving
map displays, VOR indicators, HSI's, RMI's, ADF's, annunciators, mode
control and any other "send and receive" RS-232 formatted
electronic device and includes an auto pilot interface.
Approach Pro-G Wiring System: Cost is $399 for the Approach Pro-G Hub
and Approach "ready-built" cables cost between $49-$199. The
Pro-G Wiring System is for IFR instrument panels and supports all Garmin
panel mounted devices.
Avionic upgrades, replacements, and panel build-outs are frequently
weighed down with unknown labor variables and other associated barriers.
Coupled with complicated technical details in panel wiring, especially
in older aircraft, problems like wiring scope creep often result in
continuous rounds of cost escalations. Approach removes these barriers
providing customers a tremendous value by increasing reliability, cost-effectiveness
and future maintainability.
Approach products can be retrofitted to any certified or home-built
aircraft." Said Kieth Sorenson, Approach's President. "If
the aircraft is newer, we recommend changing your wiring over to Approach's
wiring system when you upgrade or replace any avionic equipment-the
value, simplicity, durability and safety of adding Approach products
delivers an unmatched return when compared to traditional hand-wiring
processes used today."
Additionally, according to Sorenson, "Older aircraft can benefit
anytime from Approach products because they typically have original
wiring that can have brittle and cracked insulation, electrical connections
that have become loose, wire abrasion and fretting and outdated wiring
schemes. Furthermore, pilots are continuing to upgrade older aircraft
with the latest avionics rather than purchasing newer aircraft and Approach's
products lend a tremendous amount of value to this ongoing trend."
Approach Systems is focused on developing products to automate the upgrade
and retrofit process of general aviation electronics (avionics). The
products are based on modular technologies using aerospace standard
components, materials and computer technology. For more information,
