APPROACH SYSTEMS designs, develops and markets products based on GPS technologies using aviation as the development platform for other mobile industries. For the general aircraft industry, our APIC product brings glass cockpit technologies to low cost commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms based on Windows XP and Windows® Mobile base technologies. Our APIC focus has been the development of glass cockpit functionalities into embedded systems. For the aviation market, these systems are an order of magnitude less expensive than recently released systems.
